Vishwak Sen’s Cult continues to struggle at the box office. The slasher thriller has collected just ₹3 Cr gross in its first two days, and there’s no sign of a pickup yet.
Cult 2 Days Box Office Collection
Total Gross (2 Days): ₹3 Cr
Low Start, No Growth
Cult opened on a low note on October 30, and the trend didn’t improve on Day 2. Even with Saturday on its side, the film failed to show any real growth.
At this pace, the film looks headed for a single-digit closing gross, which would be a disappointing result for a film that Vishwak Sen both directed and headlined.
Caught in the Diwali Week Clash
Cult released on the same day as Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam, and the family entertainer has taken most of the audience’s attention so far. With Ramayana also arriving in theatres, screen space and footfall for Cult will only get tougher in the coming days.
A Risky Genre Bet
Cult was pitched as a brutal slasher thriller, with the trailer and censor buzz centred on its extreme violence. That kind of content usually draws a niche audience, and it keeps families away, which has clearly limited the film’s reach.
Vishwak Sen had backed the film strongly as his directorial project, but the box office response so far shows it hasn’t connected beyond a small section of viewers.
What’s Next
Sunday is the film’s last real chance to improve its numbers before the weekdays. Unless there’s a surprise jump, Cult is set to end its run well below expectations.
